  Edgar Arceo

Edgar teaches at the Thacher School in Ojai, California, as a Fisher Fellow, where he teaches Psychology and Spanish, coaches soccer, and serves as a house advisor.

Originally from Bishop, California, Edgar is a 2015 graduate of Kenyon College. While attending Kenyon, Edgar studied psychology and philosophy and played for the Kenyon Lords, where he captained the men’s soccer team to their first NCAC Conference title during his senior year. Since graduating, Edgar has worked primarily in the education sector as a tutor, substitute teacher, lead teacher, and a college teaching assistant.

Leading for two summers with Woza, Edgar loved his experience of traveling to Malawi and Peru. He writes "my favorite thing about Woza is spending the entire summer with such incredible, fun-loving Woza leaders and players! Just witnessing the powerful way soccer allows us to connect to each other as a group… to our partners as a global community… it’s one of the most glorious moments I have experience as a soccer player.”

Woza Soccer is a registered  501(c)(3) nonprofit,

EIN  46-5028056

Woza offered financially accessible international summer service trips for high school and college soccer players, using the game to create connections across cultures and support Sport for Development and Peace organizations around the world. With soccer, service work, and cultural immersion at the heart of each itinerary, we strove to broaden the perspectives of players by demonstrating their abilities to connect with people of all backgrounds and engage long term in soccer-focused social impact.
