Zoe Jackson-Gibson

Hometown: Buffalo, NY

College: Hobart William Smith College

Hailing from Buffalo, New York, Zoe graduated Hobart and William Smith Colleges (HWS) in 2016 where she was an Environmental Studies and Sociology major. As a member of the Varsity soccer team and leadership group, Zoe won a NCAA National Championship in 2013 and earned First Team All-American; First Team Liberty League, ECAC, and Hero Sports Defensive Player of the Year; as well as William Smith Athletics department award.

After graduation, Zoe moved to Nicaragua where worked with Soccer Without Borders, an NGO that empowers local girls through soccer. Daily, she helped plan weekly activities, practices, events, and homework tutoring. She also taught English to adults at a local language school.

Zoe loved her experience leading for Woza and loved having the opportunity to have such a life changing experience! She wrote, "
Most importantly, Woza allowed me to lead other younger athletes in discovering the world through their own love of the game. Being able to both travel and learn about other cultures provides a different, more authentic opportunity to communicate and connect with others".

Woza Soccer is a registered  501(c)(3) nonprofit,

EIN  46-5028056

Woza offered financially accessible international summer service trips for high school and college soccer players, using the game to create connections across cultures and support Sport for Development and Peace organizations around the world. With soccer, service work, and cultural immersion at the heart of each itinerary, we strove to broaden the perspectives of players by demonstrating their abilities to connect with people of all backgrounds and engage long term in soccer-focused social impact.
